Biography:
With over 25 years of extensive experience in the wireless industry, ranging from the development of military systems, the definition of satellite communication architectures, the evolution of traditional cellular systems, the creation of the latest small cell solutions, through to definition of virtualized RAN systems, Mark currently holds the position of Distinguished Consulting Engineer in Cisco’s Chief Technology and Architecture Office. Responsible for leading Cisco’s mobile access strategy, including carrier Wi-Fi, small cell/HetNets and Service Provider IoT Access,
Mark has been granted over 100 patents in the area of mobile communications and is the co-author of two books; IP Design for Mobile Networks (2009) and Building the Mobile Internet (2011), both published by Cisco Press.
