Biography:
Binita Gupta is a Sr. Staff Systems Architect at Intel Corporation, where she is currently driving the initiatives on convergence of 5G and Wi-Fi 6/6E technologies and has been leading the convergence related standardization activities in WBA and IEEE standards organizations for Intel Corporation. In WBA, Binita has been a key contributor to and has served as the co-Lead and the Chief Technical Editor of the 5G and Wi-Fi Convergence project. In Wi-Fi Alliance, she has led the Wi-Fi EasyMesh™ standardization activity for Intel Corporation. Prior to joining Intel in 2015, Binita was a Systems Architect at Qualcomm leading and driving systems design efforts across a multitude of wireless products. Binita has 20+ years of extensive experience designing and architecting a range of wireless communications systems, including the IoT communication platform in OCF and AllJoyn, peer-to-peer connectivity and proximity framework over Bluetooth/BLE, Wi-Fi, Wi-Gig and Ultrasound, Qualcomm’s MediaFLO technology for mobile TV broadcast, QChat VoIP Push-to-Talk platform and the Wi-Fi Multi-AP technology.
Binita has received her M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and her B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India. She holds more than 35 patents.
