Biography:
Robbie McBeath supports the Benton Institute’s collaborations with the Illinois Office of Broadband, helping to lead the Accelerate Illinois and Illinois Connected Communities programs. He authors the bi-weekly Illinois Broadband Connections newsletter and is an active member of the Illinois Broadband Lab. He also performs online marketing and outreach for Benton Institute publications, and manages Benton’s social media presence.
Robbie joined the Benton Institute in late 2014. He started as a Writing Associate, producing Benton’s Headlines and Weekly Digest of communications news. Previously, he interned at the Federal Communications Commission and served as an AmeriCorps VISTA with the Open Media Foundation in Denver, CO. Robbie graduated in 2013 from the University of Illinois with a degree in Media Studies.
