Amer Hassan

Biography:
Amer Hassan received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering Systems from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where his research focused on coding theory and wireless communications. Since then Amer worked at GE and Ericsson as Manager for emerging wireless systems. He was an Adjunct Professor at North Carolina State University. Amer joined Microsoft Windows Networking in June 2000 as Wireless Architect and Principal Program Manager for Wi-Fi. He joined Office Communications (Skype for Business) in 2011 as Principal PM for Strategic Alliances then Office 365 Voice Services. Amer co-founded several industry alliances focusing on connectivity technologies. He currently represents Microsoft on the Wi-Fi Alliance BoD, and an adjunct professor at the University of Washington.
